LA PAUSA, GABRIELLE CHANEL SHRINE The Spring-Summer 2022 collection was inspired by the beauty of gabrielle’s legendary village. The light of La Pausa, desired by Mademoiselle, is the central theme that guided chanel’s Makeup Creation Studio. The natural and padded colours and shimmering sunlight surrounding the villa are at the heart of this collection, along with the motif of the ‘sunshine’ button, designed as a graphic representation of the Riviera, which is engraved on powdered products.
The Mediterranean sun. The endless sea. The aroma of orange blossoms and fresh lavender flowers. The architecture of a simple, inviting and quiet Provençal village.
In the 1920s, high on the summit of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Gabrielle Chanel had a house built in her image and filled it with private references: five windows above the front door in honor of her favorite number, 5, an Aubazine-inspired handrail, the place where she grew up, and a big star above her bed, symbolizing his fascination with constellations.
Mademoiselle gave this refuge a real rest from the hustle and bustle of Paris, a name: La Pausa. Far from the city, it was where the stylist came to unhome for more than 20 years, accompanied by some of her dearest friends, such as Jean Cocteau, Misia Sert and Salvador Dalí. She took a picture in her garden, surrounded by olive trees and hundred-year-old flowers, and gave casual and festive parties.
Your living art permeates any property, from the garden to the luxurious bathroom. Everything exudes your style. As soon as spring arrives, the rooms are flooded with the mild sunshine of southern France, which makes La Pausa seem to shine, as if it had not been touched by time. Both in harmony with nature and located in the idyllic setting of the Côte d’Azur, La Pausa is an essential and joyful testimony to gabrielle chanel’s history, taste and heritage.

CHANEL also incorporated the soothing and curative spirit of La Pausa into the collection with the launch of ROUGE COCO BAUME, a moisturizing and colorful lip protector that has all the qualities of a lipstick.
La Pausa de Chanel comprises the new line of lip protectors Rouge Coco Baume, the shade palette Les 4 Ombres Méditerranéen, two Blush Lumières, liquid shade Ombre Première Lacque Lumière, Baume Essentiel Ensoleillé and two new Le Vernis nail polishes.
The hero product of the line is the new Rouge Coco Baume which was designed in the same style as the Rogue Coco line with a minimalist white packaging.
Rouge Coco Baume’s formula combines the rich color of lipstick with the moisturizing benefits of a balm. It was infused with Shea Butter and a Hydra Boost Complex containing three vegetable waxes. Rouge Coco Baume is available in seven shades: Dreamy White, Pearlescent, Natural Charm, Flirty Coral, My Rose, Passion Pink, Fall for Me and In Love.
Les 4 Ombres offers four shades of gold and copper inspired by the Côte d’Azur. This includes a new golden beige shade called Ombre Première Laque. The shadow is also available as a liquid shadow.
The two Blush Lumières offer shades of coral pink and terracotta brown that warm the complexion, while Baume Essentiel brightens the skin with a peach glow. The two new tones Le Vernis are Riviera and Terra Rossa.
La Pausa’s nail polish color scheme is vast, with its yellow walls and terracotta floors gently illuminated by the sun. This contrast, evocative of the south of France, is incorporated into the two varnishes of the Spring-Summer 2022 collection.
